“How did you start creating again?”

I was getting this question once a week after I announced, at the age of 37, that I’d finally achieved my dream of being a full-time Hollywood screenwriter. My friends and followers knew that years before I was toiling away in communications and not writing a page.

Not a single page. 

How did I turn my life around so suddenly? How did I go from a struggling creative living in Washington, DC to being staffed in the writers’ rooms of hit television shows in LA, selling shows and films to the likes of Netflix, Amazon, FX, Universal, and Sony?

I’m now creating consistently and am more committed to sustaining my creative practice than ever before. 

I made a creative comeback and want the same for you.

My friends and followers knew that years before I was toiling away in communications in DC and not writing a page. And yet, how did I turn around my life so suddenly?

Here’s the thing: we only get this one life. If creating is your life’s work, you owe it to yourself to reclaim your purpose.

I should know. About eight years ago, I wasn’t writing or creating at all….. And now, I’m a full-time writer, creating consistently (have expanded into writing, producing, and running my own production company!) and feeling more committed to myself than ever before.
